techPolitics is a Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) under UK law. As well as the two partners in the LLP, techPolitics has close working relationships with a number of associates on particular projects.
Partners
Jon Worth has more than 10 years of experience designing websites for politicians and political organisations. He was responsible for the online component of Harriet Harman’s Labour Deputy Leadership election and is responsible for the technical aspects of the Atheist Bus Campaign in the UK, collecting over £150000 in online donations. Jon has an academic background in political science and when he’s not working with website design you can find him teaching people how the European Union works. You might also find him inline skating or running as an escape from programming. He speaks English, French and German and is based in London and Brussels. jon {at} techpolitics(.)eu
Jan Seifert looks back to more than 10 years of involvement in party politics and NGOs mostly to do with the EU. He has coordinated pan-European communication projects of NGOs and initiated social media campaigns of German politicians. Jan focuses on strategic advice for creating added value from a combined online-offline approach in the political sphere. Besides, he has more recently given strategic advice in transparency and budgetary issues and keeps on training NGOs in this field. Jan’s academic background is in political science, sociology and administration which he has built throughout his studies in Berlin, Uppsala and London. He speaks German and English as well as a moderate French and some Swedish. In his freetime he plays squash and likes to the discover the nightlife of European cities. jan {at} techpolitics(.)eu
Associates
Cédric Puisney is an online communicator and a Wordpress developer based in Brussels. He has been working in various projects ranging from European business development to blogvertising campaign management. For almost a decade, he has been active in online projects, especially in the last few years where he has increasingly used his background in communication and new technologies to focus on issues including corporate blogging, social media and interactive advertising. Bente Kalsnes is a social media enthusiast per definition. She is a communication advisor at Origo.no, a Norwegian social network and publishing system which offers people digital tools for blogging, image sharing and social calenders. Origo is also the community tool for 53 local and regional newspapers in A-pressen, a Norwegian media consortium. Before joining Origo, she worked as a journalist in Brussels, covering EU and technology for some of Norways largest publications: Dagbladet, Morgenbladet, Mandag Morgen, and she gives frequently presentations about social networks and innovation. She speaks Norwegian and English, some French and German. Stefan Happer is a Brussels based publisher, web developer and EU professional. He has worked for advertising agency Euro RSCG Brussels as well as for EurActiv.com and the European Commission. He is publisher of the German language EU news portal www.politikportal.eu and writes as blogger on EU affairs and online media.
